Our historic French brand has been relaunched with a new visual identity, new identity and a new range of oil colours.

For the last three centuries Lefranc bourgeois has defined the standards of quality for producing colours of artists, and through the combination of traditional production methods and bold thinking, the brand has given birth to some of the most iconic colours.

NEW IDENTITY

The brand has completely renewed its graphic identity with a deeper blue and a logo that claims its origin. Revised, restyled, modernized ... the identity of Lefranc Bourgeois comes to draw in its DNA and retains its famous trademark: the anchor and the caduceus, present in historical logos. "Since 1720 Paris" recalls its historical character, and its prestigious history with the painters who have made history using their colours.

NEW PACKAGING

The new fine and extra fine oil paint tubes were created in response to the expectations of artists' techniques. The changes were made following studies conducted with artists and practitioners in order to closely respond to their needs and to help them read the products and range.

NEW EXTRA-FINE OIL TEXTURE

Beyond the tube, it is also the texture of the extra-fine range that has been revised to meet the expectations of painters: ideally, the consistency should not be too oily and the paint should remain easy to work with: Lefranc Bourgeois therefore provide a new, firm, non-greasy and consistent texture.

NEW PALLET OF COLOURS

As part of the renewal of the range, the colours of Lefranc Bourgeois extra-fine oil were also reworked. Because pigments evolve, disappear or nuance, the chemist's work never stops. The new range thus presents a more balanced spectrum of hues, variations, and opacities. 63 single-pigment colours, 29 new colours, 8 new cadmium-free colours, 13 improved hues: today it's a reworked palette of 120 exceptional colours that make up range.

COLOURS WITHOUT CADMIUM: MAJOR INNOVATION!

It took Colart several years of research, tests and collaborations with artists to develop new colours without cadmium. This innovation, recently launched in acrylic colour with Liquitex, has now been introduced to Lefranc Bourgeois extra fine oil colours. Colours without cadmium are a more ecological and less toxic alternative which restores all the strength and power of the pigment.

ADDITIVES: MAKE COLOR MATERIAL

At the crossroads of chemistry and sensitivity, additives are a science complex, which illustrate all the dexterity of the manufacturer. They are a magical ingredient that transforms colour: these products are essential to the work of the painter giving life to the colour with effects of texture, light and depth. Through close collaboration with painters, the packaging of the range of additives Lefranc Bourgeois has been totally reorganized by family of use, degree of technicality and purpose of effects and finishes.
