North America – Brand Assistant – Liquitex

Colart is a true global company, with operations and manufacturing across the world, including China and across Europe, including the headquarters in London, United Kingdom. The North American business for Colart is the largest market globally, encompassing approximately $88 Million in gross sales on an annual basis.

We are currently looking for a Brand Assistant to join our Global Brand Team within the Liquitex brand. They will assist with new product development projects and ongoing portfolio management to deliver brand growth and increase preference for the Liquitex brand. The role will be based at our North American head office in Piscataway, NJ with the expectation of minimum 4 in office days and 1 remote working day.

Key Accountabilities:
Portfolio Management Support
• Assist with ongoing portfolio projects such as EPD product improvement/sustainability initiatives/regulatory changes
• Maintain brand Masterfile (add new products, manage changes, labelling product changes)
• Bank management for existing products (change management, uploads) as well as Bank library maintenance for product related assets (product renderings/imagery, color swatches)
• Be on top of consumer trends and market/competitors’ activities to optimise the portfolio

New Product Development Support
• Assist with early NPD development, including desk research and competitor benchmarking
• Assist during the new product development process – from start to launch
• Assist with sample coordination for competitors, TEC requests and new product sampling to artists for testing
• Assist with NPD sales tool development including sell sheets, master files/dims, demo sheets, leaflets, sampling for local markets, selling kits for NA market (includes briefing to creative artworker, managing the printing, creation, hand painting process (if necessary), building and distribution.)
• Assist with NPD merchandising development (Briefs, POG updates, shelf strip approvals) for both ROW and N.A.
• Bank management for new products (rendering creation management, swatches, uploads)

Packaging Support
• Assist with packaging master copy file creation and translation management
• Assist with artwork review and approvals
• Special labelling project: Assist with artwork approvals

Merchandising & Retail Experience Support
• Assist with NPD/EPD merchandising execution for N.A. market and communication for ROW
• Manage printing and distribution of N.A. shelf strips for new products and maintain inventory of existing shelf strips (including management of hand painted creation process)
• Execute communication related updates to N.A. merchandising, including Shopper Engagement Center updates
• Special labelling project:
o Assist with merchandising updates and approvals for ROW- approve all updated shelf strip artwork

Marketing/Commercial/Consumer Care Support
• Assist in working with our marketing, commercial and consumer care teams to address any product concerns, information requirements, questions in a timely manner
• Assist in ensuring local marketing teams have everything needed for local NPD/EPD execution and keep dialogue open so that local marketing teams needs are being addressed and met
• Ensure learnings are captured and implemented for continuous improvement

Essential Qualifications
Educated to a degree level in business/marketing

Essential Experience:
1-3 years marketing/brand experience preferred, though not required.
