Your Role as Sales Manager – Netherlands
To drive commercial growth in the €2.2m Dutch market by developing a profitable business to deliver the Colart strategy of sustainable branded growth. This will be achieved through effective management of retail partners, together with championing the recruitment of new consumers in order to gain market share and increase brand visibility.
Whilst this role is for an initial period of 2 years, there is the potential for extension.

What You’ll Do:
1. Account Management
• Support and motivate retailers to meet sales and profit goals and address any performance issues.
• Track competitor pricing/promotions and create a strategy to maximize Group profits while minimizing cross-border trade.
• Achieve market-level goals in your area in line with business strategy.
• Report monthly performance metrics to the Commercial Manager.
• Provide timely and accurate regional forecasts.
• Develop strong professional relationships with retailers and customers.

2. Account Development
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities based on the EU strategic plan and market potential.
• Achieve growth targets and set metrics for accounts.
• Identify and implement new opportunities with manager approval to support future growth.
• Develop customer-specific plans to expand presence and increase product sales.

3. Marketing
• Collaborate with regional marketing to develop strategies aligned with consumer trends and competitive activities, including pricing and promotions.
• Lead product launches according to group strategies.
• Stay informed on market trends and act as a brand expert.
• Implement agreed brand strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
• Plan promotions with customers and create an annual promotional calendar.
• Manage marketing budgets with retailers.

4. Education and Community
• Drive consumer education in retail and B2B settings through training, demos and merchandising.
• Organise training and customer visits to company operations.
• Ensure education and community goals are achieved in line with business strategy.
• Report monthly on consumer recruitment activities.

5. Personal Skills
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the Europe Business Unit.
• Align with the Dutch Commercial Team on customer, pricing/promotions and marketing, with quarterly planning and analysis.
• Communicate clearly with the Trade Marketing team.
• Have in-depth knowledge of core brand values, target consumers, and personality.

What We’re Looking For:
• A degree or equivalent in a business-related field.
• Proven experience as a sales manager in Netherlands/Northern Europe.
• Proven progressive sales, marketing and commercial management experience in the consumer goods industry.
• Broad-based knowledge of the consumer and trade market place.
• Exceptionally strong ability to influence and communicate, coupled with very high energy levels.
• Ability to command respect and cooperation of management and customers at all levels.
