National Account Manager

We are looking for a National Account Manager to join our UK Commercial Department selling our global artist paint and materials brands to leading UK retail and wholesale partners.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Mass Channel Director, you will be responsible for: developing and delivering the implementation of account-specific business plans; achieving account profitability and sales and growth targets; serving as the primary account contact, providing clear analytics on account performance; and providing account leadership. Responsibility focuses on optimising the distribution of the Colart portfolio of fine art and creative brands, the facilitation of consumer engagement activations, and gaining share of voice in-store and digitally within the account base, all whilst delivering strong commercial returns for the business.

Although the role is based in our vibrant office space in West London office, we offer a hybrid working model, and you will be required to travel extensively within the UK to meet with customers.

Your key accountabilities will include the following:

  • Account Management Overview: Portfolio management is a key function, ensuring the mix is driving volume as well as generating a valuable return for both retailer and Colart.
  • Relationship Management: Close networking with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Category Management: Closely monitor key performance metrics within the account base to provide insight into category/product trends. Deliver regular analysis and reports on the campaigns and recommendations for improvement.
  • Brand Knowledge and Market Awareness: Intimate knowledge of core brands, their values, positioning, target consumers and personality. Our core leading global brands include, ‘Winsor & Newton’, ‘Liquitex’, ‘LeFranc Bourgeois’, ‘Conte a Paris’, ‘Snazaroo.’
  • Digital Change Champion: Partnering with your account you will ensure Colart brands are represented online to ‘Best in Class’ standards, with brand pages and up-to-date product information pages.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in leading key national retail accounts within a similar branded consumer goods business.
  • Solid track record of developing internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated skills in achieving sales, profitability and budget goals and illustrating an understanding of a customer P&L
  • Effective presenter; interpreting data, building and delivering decks
  • MS Office proficient
