Winsor & Newton x Tom’s Studio: A sustainably designed collaboration

10/04/2026

To celebrate Winsor & Newton’s B Corp status during International B Corp Month, we have launched a limited-edition collaboration with Tom’s Studio: the Re-Crafted Professional Watercolour Synthetic brushes.

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to craftsmanship, creativity and sustainability.

Partnering with Tom’s Studio

Tom’s Studio is a UK-based brand known for creating beautifully designed tools for creative professionals, with a strong focus on quality, functionality and the use of recycled materials.

With artists at the heart of our brand, we saw a strong opportunity to partner with a like-minded brand whose philosophy closely aligned with our own. Through this collaboration, we were able to learn from one another and explore how our respective strengths could come together in a meaningful way.

The Re-Crafted range

Created as a limited-edition DTC-exclusive launch, Re-Crafted Professional Watercolour Synthetic brushes reimagine our existing Professional Watercolour Synthetic brushes through a more sustainable design lens.

Each sculpted handle is crafted from a bespoke blend of reclaimed Winsor & Newton factory waste and recycled plastic, resulting in a one-of-a-kind marbled pattern that tells its own story. By transforming discarded materials into professional tools with renewed purpose, the range offers artists a more thoughtful choice.

The Re-Crafted range is the result of sustainable innovation without compromising on excellence.

The launch features two limited-edition brush sets, thoughtfully curated with artists’ needs and creative experiences in mind. Packaging and content were also carefully developed to reflect the elevated design of the range and bring the collaboration story to life in a cohesive way.

Bringing the collaboration to life

From the beginning, sustainability and innovation worked hand in hand to shape the product concept and development. By exploring how waste could be rethought as a resource, sustainability was embedded into the idea from the outset. Plastic waste from our factories was repurposed as part of the final product, giving existing material a second life.

Agile cross-functional collaboration across Brand, Sustainability & Innovation, Crown Brushes, DTC, and Digital brought the project to life from concept through to final execution, enabling the launch to come to market in just eight months during B Corp Month.

It is a strong example of what can happen when shared values are translated into action through partnership and teamwork.

The limited-edition Re-Crafted range is now available at winsorandnewton.com.
